Swans u13 girls 1st Ever Game
Swans u13 girls 1st Ever Game

On Tuesday night last our current group of u13 girls who have being training for the past few months took to the field of play for the very first time. Helped out on the night by a few of our u16 girls the next generation of stars were excellent and from the outside you would not believe that this was their first outing. Playing against Wilson's 1st years the game was evenly matched in the opening exchanges. However the Swans began to get a grip and we're soon a few goals up. There were some excellent patches of play throughout the entire match and team coach Liam Boggs was delighted with his young players. Swans eventually ran out 6-2 winners. After the game Liam presented the players with a medal each to mark the occasion. He also presented two players with a trophy for player of the game and first goal. We look forward to seeing this side grow over the coming months and hopefully develop into an u14 team next season.

All our academy groups continue to excell within their sessions on a weekly basis. The academy minis have also kicks off since our last inside view and we have two groups running on a Sat evening.

On Monday next Longford Town will be on site to conduct four sessions. This is a continuation of the clubs and academy relationship that we hope to further strengthen in the coming months. All at the academy are eagerly looking forward to their visit.
