Academy Player To Travel To Celtic

As part of our International Academy Partnership programme with Glasgow Celtic FC, we were invited to have a selection of our players attend the Celtic Elite Camp in Dublin in July. The Elite camp is for all partnership clubs in Ireland and we even had an English based club attend. Real Football Academy were fantastically represented by eight of our players. The players were treated to a number of brilliantly coached grass sessions, presentations on "The Celtic Way" and the Celtic player pathway.

On the back of this Real Football Academy were delighted with the news that broke this morning that academy player Tumelo Tlou has being invited to Glasgow over the October/November mid term break. Tumelo will go straight into the Intermediate section of the Celtic Academy u13-17 and will be included in their schools project for the week. Here we will get the full experience of being a Celtic Academy player with two session every day, the first of which will be an early start at 7.30am. This will be followed by classroom sessions and his day will then finish off with another session at 5pm.

Tumelo plays his club football at local club Mullingar Ath. Mark McCormack, Tumelos coach at Mullingar deserves a huge amount of credit in Tumelos development over the past five to six years. Mark's consistent hard work and coaching philosophy has helped shape Tumelo into the player he is today.
We at Real Football Academy are also thrilled to be working with Tumelo on a weekly basis and our academy coaches are in constant contact with Mark at Mullingar bouncing ideas and player development sessions off each other.

Our philosophy from the very beginning of Real Football Academy was to provide players with an environment that they could flourish in, away from their club set up with different voices and under no pressure. We were adamant that we were here to work with the players, the coaches and the local clubs and help them develop their players. The support that we have received from most of our local clubs has being excellent. We also hoped to provide them with opportunities like what eight of our players experienced in July. We are very pleased to have delivered on every front.

We would like to wish Tumelo the very best in his weeks coaching at the famous Glasgow Celtic. We are all very proud of you and your achievement and we hope that you will always remember this life changing experience.

Big thanks to Jason Finnane for our fantastic photos
